Professional Experience

I am a freelance writer with years of experience as a newspaper columnist, community journalist and feature story writer. I am best known for my weekly column "Notes From The Farmer's Daughter" where I share stories to inspire, educate and entertain. I was recently awarded honourable mention in the Agri-Food Promotional Excellence category in the Excellence in Agriculture Awards by Ontario Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for my contributions to the agricultural community through my writing and my regional online Farm Directory. Rural living story features are my specialty and my passion. I connect with my readers in a manner that is similar to talking with a neighbour. I have worked with a number of businesses in tourism and agri-tourism to help them attract visitors and increase product and service sales. I write from the heart and readers recognize that and respond in a positive way.
