Letters home from summer camp at age nine launched my writing career. Curious and observant about almost everything, my mundane and everyday experiences often assemble into captivating tales; much like letters home from camp. My first professional publication was in 1980. Since then, I have been a freelance writer, journalist, and I am currently finishing a novel. The focus of my writing is sacred words and music, through essays, and my Spiritual Care Counselling practice. I am the creator of the Write From The Heart™ independent writers workshops, producing two anthologies of collected works written by participants. My writing awards include: the 2021 and 2020 Mensa Canada Literary Contest for Short Stories, and a 2009 John Howard Award for Poetry.
