Professional Experience

I've been a photographer since 2014. First started out as a hobbyist and progressed into part-time professional. Now, I have three years of experience as a videographer and local producer. Currently based in Yerevan, Armenia where my path to conflict journalism began. Since the 44-Day war in 2020, I've covered many Armenian topics, have been to Ukraine for 4 months total including frontline experience on 2 fronts (Donetsk and Kharkiv). I have been secondary camera for 2 documentary films (45 Days: A Fight for a Nation & The Kharkiv Files). I've also worked for Global News on a couple occasions in Ukraine and Taiwan. Assisted several freelance journalists from Europe and North America as their fixer in Armenia. I've covered a small riot in Sudan in 2022. Currently writing this in Beirut, Lebanon as I await credentials to allow me to work in the south near the hot zones.

Education

Construction school after GED but then shifted completely towards photo/video work. An online venture of mine allowed me to become financially relaxed somewhat. Hands-on experience is my education.
