Her essays have been published in The Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, literary journal untethered, and the Canadian Medical Association Journal (CMAJ) blog. Her writing has also been broadcast on CBC Radio The Sunday Edition and viewed on CBC Radio This Happened To Me. She's writing a memoir about her journey to become a better person after surviving an experimental bone marrow transplant . Her proposal for TRANSFORMED: When My DNA Changed, So Did I won the 2020 Penguin Random House Canada MFA Prize for Best Nonfiction Book Proposal.
She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of King’s College in Halifax and a Creative Writing Certificate from the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto.
