Professional Experience

Columnist and freelance writer since the 1960s for local and world wide newspapers and magazines such as Readers Digest, Globe and Mail, New York Times, West Australian, Up Here, Milepost, specializing in nature, the outdoors, off the beaten track travel experiences, wildlife conservation, family history, and written primarily from personal experience. "There's a Seal in my Sleeping Bag" is my most well known book. "Tabasco the Saucy Raccoon" is my latest book. "Love Affair with a Cougar" is my favourite book and appeared recently on the Jimmy Fallon midnight talk showin New York. other stories appear in anthologies such as "Great CanadianFishing Stories." I have also produced films on my personal life in the outdoors with David Hancock eg "Pacific Wilderness" and "Coast Safari".

Trinity College, London., L.R.A.M Royal Academy of Music, London, B.Ed. and M.A. Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. TABASCO MY SAUCY RACCOON also went to SFU with me: we graduated together! Tabasco is also a Celebrity Raccoon, she has been on the frontpage of the Vancouver Sun and upstaged Hollywood stars on major TV shows.
