I entered the journalism field through freelancing many years ago. While an exhibition was visiting my place of work I found it so moving and interesting I had to learn more about it and share it so I pitched it to the local newspaper and was hired as a reporter just a couple of months later. I worked at a small town newspaper and we covered everything, there was no designated crime reporter or sports reporter, or features writer. I moved to Ontario when i got married and then family took a front seat. It has been some time but I am excited to get back to my first love, writing!
