Doreen writes for a select group of magazines and online publications that have included National Geographic Traveler, THOR Travel Advantage, Groups Today, Westjet Online, CAA magazine, Market Zone Productions, and Canadian School Counsellor. Doreen is a contributor to GettingOntravel, a webzine for the over 50 demographic who enjoy a touch of luxury in their travel experiences. Doreen is the creator, author, and publisher of the Chocolatour series of books. Volume I, "Chocolatour: A Quest for the World's Best Chocolate" was published in September, 2013, and won a 2014 Readers' Favorite International Book Award, in addition to being a Finalist in the 2014 North American Travel Journalists Awards. Doreen is currently researching Volume II of "Chocolatour: A Quest for the World's Best Chocolate Experiences" expected for publication in 2021. Doreen is regarded as a chocolate expert, and has served as a judge and speaker at several chocolate festivals around the world. She organizes curated chocolate tastings, chocolate and wine pairing events, chocolate themed dinners, and provides dynamic and passionate presentations about the world of artisanal chocolate for various clients. Doreen has also given workshops and presentations for various groups on a wide variety of subjects including volunteerism, feng shui, copyright, freelance writing, travel writing, public speaking, and social media.
