Professional Experience

I am a professional medical historian, providing research, writing, consulting and creative services. I specialize in the history of public health, infectious diseases and biotechnology in Canada and have a variety of published works in these areas, including 3 books I was hired to research and write, and 3 paid articles in Canada's History Magazine, one of which - "A Pox On Our Nation" (Feb-March 2015) was nominated for a National Magazine Award. The current issue (Feb-March 2018) includes my article, "Mercy Mission: Fighting Polio in the Arctic."
