After 18 years as a staff writer in the daily newspaper industry, I transitioned to a full-time freelance writer and editor. I was the editor of a biweekly farm publication from 2000 until my retirement in the spring of 2023. I also write for a number of other publications on a freelance basis, as well as doing contract work for corporate clients. Even though I list my status as semi-retired, I am always on the lookout for new projects.
