Alex Roslin is an award-winning journalist who was president of the board of the Canadian Centre for Investigative Reporting. He is working on a series of books on the war in Ukraine and another on how we failed to protect nursing homes from Covid. His book "Police Wife: The Secret Epidemic of Domestic Violence" won or was a finalist in numerous book awards: - 2018 Reader's Favorite International Book Awards, honorable mention - American Book Fest's 2017 Best Book Awards Finalist - 2018 Global Ebook Awards, bronze - 2018 Arthur Ellis Awards for Excellence in Canadian Crime Writing, finalist (best nonfiction crime book category) - 2018 New York Book Festival, honourable mention - 2018 Los Angeles Book Festival, honourable mention - 2018 San Francisco Book Festival, honourable mention - 2017 New England Book Festival, honourable mention The first edition of "Police Wife," which Roslin co-authored, won the Arlene Book Award for Writing that Makes a Difference, given triennially by the American Society of Journalists and Authors. The first edition also won these other international book awards: - Hollywood Book Festival non-fiction book award, runner-up - eLit Book Awards, silver - INDIEFAB Book of the Year Awards, bronze - Next Generation Indie Book Awards, finalist Roslin has also won the Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award, three Canadian Association of Journalists prizes for investigative reporting and 12 nominations for CAJ awards and National Magazine Awards. He is the winner of the President's Award of the Professional Writers Association of Canada and the long-time co-chair of the organization's nominations and awards committee. He has worked as an associate producer for the CBC-TV investigative programs the fifth estate and Disclosure, and has written for The Montreal Gazette, The Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, Maclean's, L'Actualité, The Georgia Straight, Zoomer, Canadian Geographic, Today's Parent and many others.
