CBC Yukon is looking for an energetic, creative and forward thinking Associate Producer to take on a vital programming role. 

You perform editorial assignments related to the gathering, writing and presentation of program material for all of our media platforms, prioritizing content for audio programs and news.

You participate in the production, direction and/or post-production of a program and/or program segment. 

You should be comfortable with the demands and needs of television, radio and online news production, including responding to the pressures of breaking news situations. 

You should have some experience in field production, and be comfortable chasing and developing enterprise journalism and original research.

CBC New Brunswick is looking for an Associate Producer to work with the early morning live radio program, Information Morning Fredericton.  This position is temporary for 12 months and is based in Fredericton.  The successful candidate must be willing and able to work on the weekend.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter who is tenacious about chasing guests, passionate about telling the stories of New Brunswicker.  As the industry shifts, local news and community storytelling is more important than ever.  You understand the diverse and changing population in New Brunswick and the importance of reflecting all our communities in our content.  You will further our original storytelling and ensure we are talking about what matters most to people throughout New Brunswick.

Under the direction of the program producer, you will chase and produce compelling radio interviews and stories that provide audiences with the news they need to know each morning, ensuring every day that the program is ready for tomorrow.  You will work as part of a four person team, collaborating with journalists in Fredericton, Moncton, and Saint John to serve New Brunswick audiences.

With direction from the senior producers, the associate producer will participate in the production, direction and/or post-production of Power & Politics. This may include chasing guests, researching stories, graphics creation and video editing. There is a requirement to develop meaningful stories and contacts.  There is often a requirement to coordinate with the activities of others for the production of this material. The Writer in Residence is a full-time term position open to writers from across Canada who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents. This individual acts as a mentor to writers in and around Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, reviewing manuscripts and providing criticism and advice about publishing. The Writer offers individual consultations, group workshops and programs, author readings and participates in other special events during their residency.

In addition to working directly with local writers, the Writer in Residence program enables the author to work on their own writing projects. This residency requires working collaboratively with the public through individual consultations, school visits, group workshops and public lectures or seminars. The position requires 36.25 hours a week: 14.5 hours (40 percent) of the author’s time will be devoted to library programs and projects, while 21.75 hours (60 percent) will be used for their own creative writing.
