CBC Toronto is looking for a daily news journalist, assigned to weekday evenings.

You are a strong communicator who works well under pressure, is comfortable going live on air and can confidently break down a wide range of topics for the audience in a clear and concise way. You love telling the human stories behind the headlines. You excel in live situations, work well under pressure and thrive in fast evolving situations.

You will be expected to pitch regularly and deliver compelling storytelling on daily basis. Work will be predominantly for video, streaming and live platforms. Some digital writing work may also be required. 

You have a track record for finding meaningful stories that reflect the diversity and complexity of the greater Toronto area and have worked to build contacts within its equity-seeking communities.

Work must adhere to CBC journalistic and/or program policies, practices and standards but initiative and independent judgment are required.
