The editor will oversee a team of 2-4 reporters, guiding them from pitch-to-publish on stories at the intersection of the environment, climate, social justice, and accountability. What does this role look like in practice? You’ll contribute to the daily and weekly Grist site by editing stories from your reporting team, ranging from roughly 600 words to a few thousand. Grist is a small, highly collaborative team, so you may be asked to occasionally provide gut checks or top edits on larger projects, oversee other reporters temporarily while colleagues are on vacation, and represent Grist at conferences and workshops.
