Trails is a quarterly, print-only magazine for “the backpacking and trail community.” They cover backpacking and other human or naturally-powered means of sleeping outdoors e.g. bikepacking, canoe camping, and even rafting or mountaineering. They’re seeking pitches for Issues 10 and 11. They give each issue a “thread”:

– Issue 10: Efficiency (Deadlines: February and March)

– Issue 11: Connection (Deadlines: May)

Please note that they primarily focus on North America. They pay at least $0.50 per word.
