What, exactly, is happening in America?! We all want to know, so it seemed timely to focus our eyes across the pond. We didn’t feel qualified to edit this one, so we’ve brought in two Friends of Pit: UK-based and displaced Midwestern American food writers @cheftimanderson and @thisplacetastesdelicious to guest edit!

Please send us your pitches about everything good, bad, and weird in the world of American food. We are looking for stories - both big-picture and small-scale - that show American food and culture in all its fun, fascinating, and f***ed-up glory.

🙆🏽‍♀️YES PLEASE to pitches about American imperialism, American food abroad, Native American food, food policy, the ‘Special Relationship,’ and hyper-local dishes.
