The MMC Arts Grant assists comic book creators with small grants to assist in the costs in self-publishing their work. It is not the grants intention to fully support an artist/writer through the entire process of self-publishing, but rather to encourage creators to experience the learning process involved in working towards such a goal.

As we are focused on creators, please note that submissions containing any AI-generated art or stories will not qualify for the grant.

We are looking for 20 WHRDs to contribute personal essays and stories to the anthology focused on documenting and highlighting their resilience, challenges, and triumphs in the face of threats from state and societal actors. The stories will be in voices of the WHRDs, documented as personal essays, poems, in short and long form, spoken or written – we are not bound by format.

• Short form essays: 1000 - 1500 words
• Long form essays: 2500 - 3000 words
• Poems: As required
• Illustrations: 6 frames
• Video: 10 minutes

The Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) is offering this student contest to National ACT members to support attendance at the Agricultural Media Summit. AMS is the largest annual conference of agricultural communicators in the United States and provides opportunities for networking and professional development through workshops and speakers from industry professionals. You’ll be able to attend events alongside ag comm professionals as well as participate in the annual National ACT meetings and student workshops. AMS is a foundational opportunity for students preparing to launch their careers.
