We’re looking to hire a Freelance Motion Graphics Designer with an interest and/or background in graphic design, who will support our internal visuals team on 3D animation projects for a global tech brand’s conference. As a motion generalist, you will collaborate and execute on a bunch of animations across 2D and 3D including large-scale video screens, website animation, social, and digital work for venues. Collaborating with our motion directors, you’ll work on stunning animations based on an art direction.

CBC News and CBC News Network are looking for an energetic and forward-thinking producer to take on an important editorial role assigned to the program Rosemary Barton Live.  
 
Rosemary Barton Live is CBC News Network’s weekly Sunday political show. It first launched in November 2020 and is already showing strong audience growth as a destination for viewers who want political news and smart discussion about national issues on Sunday Mornings. The two-hour program airs live 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET on CBC News Network, and also 11 to 11:30 a.m. on CBC Television.
 
Your role will focus on contributing to Rosemary Barton Live's journalistic impact by chasing and producing interviews with key newsmakers and national figures, as well as supporting the host with major interviews, conventions and special coverage and in her contributions to related programs as CBC’s Chief Political Correspondent, and to support other CBC News programs and platforms in leveraging the content of Rosemary Barton Live.
 
The hours of work will be Wednesday to Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m, and Sunday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. but are subject to change due to operational  requirements.
 

Global Toronto’s news department is seeking an experienced permanent part-time ENG Digital Technician (Camera Operator and Editor). Reporting to the Assignment Editor, the successful candidate will be responsible for shooting and editing coverage of local news, sports and community events for all platforms. You would be a member of the Global News team which produces local newscasts 7-days a week and provide a continuous flow of content to GlobalNews.ca. Applicants should be aware that all shifts are possible, including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends, and overtime may be requested from time-to-time. We’re looking for an enthusiastic video editor who will be happy to tell the story of Better Proposals to the world, build relationships with our potential customers and support our existing customers with quality educational and entertaining video content.

You will be editing videos for various outputs and social channels – this will mean you work very closely with the marketing team's efforts so our content is aligned with our messages and values. You will be responsible for downloading pre-recorded footage and cutting together shorts and teasers, as well as more long-form content and podcasts episodes.

The massive, hilarious, and surprising mistakes in science - and why these happy accidents sometimes lead to brilliant discoveries.

While we are open to other stand-out creative directions, PBS Digital Studios is interested in pursuing a new and exciting angle for this series that plays off the exponential growth in the “get ready with me”, unboxing, and satisfying organization trends on TikTok and YouTube. These trends have grown into a unique space where the host/creator is talking about something totally different than what is happening/what they are doing. We want to emulate that. We imagine this show as featuring our host in the lab doing something science related (maybe the series follows them building or designing their lab, doing science experiments that are perhaps related to the story in some way, seeing the ‘behind the scenes’ of lab work) while recounting funny stories of scientific mess ups from history, and what we’ve learned from them. The science element of the episodes should have an interesting outcome that the viewers can take away, in addition to the story that they learned. (Similar to Make Up x Muder Mystery below, viewers get to see the process of the make up and perhaps learn techniques from that, but then also are entertained by the murder mystery story.)

Format
Your show should be 8-12 YouTube episodes between 7 - 15 minutes, and include 8-12 short vertical videos for distribution on social platforms.
