CBC Vancouver is seeking a part-time skilled video producer to join our visual storytelling team for two days a week on Saturday and Sunday. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker who brings original ideas and innovative treatments to all platforms and has demonstrated skills in producing, shooting, and editing content at a high level with a digital mindset. You have strong ties to, and a deep understanding of, underrepresented communities and equity-deserving groups in Metro Vancouver and British Columbia.
 
Under the general direction of News leadership, you will operate independently, or as part of the content teams to research, gather, package, and distribute or deliver media for CBC’s platforms including CBC GEM, vertical and social media, digital, radio, and television. You will be required to work a variety of shifts, often independently and without supervision. You care about the people you work with and have a deep appreciation for different perspectives, opinions, and experiences. You live and promote the values of diversity, inclusion, and respectful work culture.
 
Under the department of the News, Current Affairs & Local, work must adhere to CBC journalistic and/or program policies, standards and practices but there is latitude for initiative, independent judgment and creativity. Occasionally, there may be a requirement to coordinate the work of others, and assist and support others to content creation for the various platforms.

Bell Media Kelowna is looking for a Freelance Announcer / Board Operator! We need an energetic and passionate Announcer / Operator to join our team supporting live shows in studio and out in our community at remote broadcasts and events. Shifts include daytime and evening weekend shifts (limited weekday shifts available).

Responsibilities include: 

• Downloading audio files from internet websites and copying and processing (“dubbing”) these files.
• Operating master on-air control room when the radio station is “on-location” for remote broadcasts.
• Download programming and commercial files and import them into local servers for broadcast.
• Host on air program on a casual, fill-in basis.
• Prepare and plan for the show as required including producing interactive content.
• Promotional and publicity responsibilities for Bell Media as required and assigned
• Other duties as assigned.

BNN Bloomberg has an entry-level opening for a Broadcast Associate.  Working from our national newsroom in downtown Toronto, the successful candidate will work closely with our team of producers to help execute daily programming produced by Canada’s only television service devoted to business, finance and the markets.  If you are a highly-motivated individual with an interest in business and eagerness to gain experience in television this position is for you.

• Support show production by assisting in control room; working with live graphs and charts
• Help edit and review stories in content management system for chase producers and producers
• Work with editors to cut B-roll and interviews
• Re-write intros and prep material that can be repurposed for broadcast and digital platforms
• Call sources to confirm details or check on availability
• Assist guests in studio to get them ready for broadcast
