BuzzFeed is searching for a part-time (20hr/week) photo contractor to assist the editorial teams for BuzzFeed.com. The person in this role will field photo requests from staff writers, manage external purchases from photo agencies, track budgets as needed, and approve photo usage on BuzzFeed.com, among other responsibilities. Applicants should expect to yield requests from writers in a prompt manner via our internal messaging system, work with outside vendors to source images, have base-level knowledge of legal photo right usage, and track all photo usage accordingly.

The ideal candidate is on the pulse of trending photo needs, including pop culture, entertainment, and celebrity features. Experience working with photo agencies and sourcing hard-to-find images is required. 

This is a project-based role with the possibility of an extension in either the Los Angeles or New York offices, or remotely in select states. It is available to start immediately. This role will require someone to work PST hours, typically between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST unless otherwise specified.
