ICI Alberta is seeking an experienced host for its morning radio program called Le café show. The show airs weekdays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Alberta and the Northwest Territories. The position is based in Edmonton.

This role is aligned with the station’s vision to engage with the community, champion new voices and showcase French-language content. As host, you must help listeners make sense of the day’s top stories while creating a space for discussion and debate.

You are a leader capable of adapting under pressure. You must also be knowledgeable about current events, cultural issues and the French-speaking communities in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.  You have a warm, confident and spontaneous on-air presence. The ability to go live and “off script” at a moment’s notice is highly valued. 

As a station on-air personality, you are committed to staying connected with the news of the day, with your listeners and with your team – even after the microphone is turned off at the end of each show. You are an excellent storyteller who is innovative and highly motivated. Your interests are wide-ranging, and you connect easily with people from all walks of life.

Reporting to the Executive Producer, Radio, for Alberta and British Columbia, you will play a role in preparing and presenting the show and will create close connections with audiences, both on air and on social media. You will contribute substantially to the planning, design and organization of the program, proposing content ideas and conducting interviews on or off air; you will also interact with program participants. You will participate in outreach activities and engage with the French-speaking community.
