We are looking for an Executive Producer to mobilize and guide a dynamic and creative team in the production of impactful news and public affairs content that resonates with the public and contributes to Radio-Canada's strategic objectives.

Under the authority of the Senior Manager of News, you will be planning, directing, and coordinating newsroom activities in the country's largest city. You will foster the production of content that engages the public.

Solid experience in journalism, combined with an ability to work under pressure and inspire confidence, is essential. In the current media landscape, it is crucial that you also possess a clear vision of digital evolution and how to innovate in content and platforms.

You will have to combine sharp strategic thinking with a proven ability to make quick and sound decisions in complex and high-pressure environments. You will also be responsible for the performance of a team of over thirty permanent employees as well as numerous temporary staff.

The incumbent will supervise professional development and cultivate a stimulating, inclusive and conducive work environment.

In-depth knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada's Journalistic Standards and Practices is essential. You will ensure that your team members adhere to them daily, as well as during major event coverage, crisis management or complex ethical issues.

You must be able to delegate effectively, without being afraid to roll up your sleeves and collaborate with your team members. You will also participate in daily decisions concerning staffing and schedules.

Close and proactive collaboration with other team leaders in Toronto, Ontario, and across the country, as well as with CBC, will be crucial for planning and maximizing the reach of multiplatform content produced by Ici Toronto and for carrying out interdepartmental initiatives.
