The Canadian Press is looking for an experienced, passionate and creative broadcast journalist to help manage our hard-working broadcast team and grow the customer base for our top-notch audio products. The successful candidate will understand and embrace new forms of broadcast newsgathering and audio storytelling and have experience managing staff and inspiring them to try new things. Under the title Co-Director of Broadcast, the successful candidate would work alongside our current Director of Broadcast to supervise a team of studio editors, overnight editors and newscasters – some of the most recognizable voices in Canadian radio news. They will work closely with CP bureaus across the country to build a comprehensive audio file each day. Working with Sales and IT, they will also stay on top of emerging trends in the broadcast and digital news industry and cultivate opportunities for CP to broaden its audio client base. This position reports to the Editor-in-Chief and the Assistant Managing Editor.
