As a contract Destination Editor, you will be responsible for commissioning and managing the development of guidebooks, from ideation to publication, ensuring that they meet Lonely Planet's standards for accuracy, readability and quality. To be successful in this role, you must have 1-3 years of experience in print or online media in an editorial role, with a focus on commissioning and project management. Passion for and knowledge of travel and the online travel space are essential, as are strong project management skills, excellent writing, reporting, and communication skills, and knowledge of AP, Chicago, and/or house style guides. Experience with content management systems and web analytics tools is a plus, as is the ability to work independently and take initiative.
